Last week, we sold the property, which was owned by a foreign couple in a residence project in the Bahçelievler region, to a Turkish person.
The title deed sales process generally works as follows:
• In the Webtapu system / Foreign section, the seller is first registered and an account is created. For this, passport information, email address with gmail extension and mobile phone located in Turkey are required.
• Afterwards, a sales application is made by entering all relevant information and documents in the Webtapu / Foreign section.
• An identification form is filled out for foreign property owners. It is prepared with a wet signature and a passport photo.
• A courthouse-approved translator in the property owner's native language is available on the day of sale.
• An updated tax number is created from the digital tax office.
• An address where the foreign property owner is located in Turkey must be specified in the land registry system.
• Market price documents are received from the municipality and uploaded to the system.
• On the day of the sale, the seller is present at the sale with his passport and relevant country ID.
